Our Story


Having escaped Austria at the onset of World War II, our father Peter Engel gained valuable technical training fixing tanks and jeeps in the British Army. At the end of the war, he came to America to work as a mechanic for the next 10 years. In 1960, he opened a 2 bay repair shop and began servicing foreign and domestic cars.

As kids we lived and breathed cars. It was a family affair. Many of our customers still swap stories about our dad or our grandmother, who ran the office. Every day after school and during summer vacation, we worked with our dad in the shop. It wasn't long afterwards that we joined the business full time.

We are extremely proud of the excellent reputation our family and staff has built, and value the loyal customers we have.

Our Better Service

5 Star Award for Service Excellence has been awarded to our dealership by Chrysler. In a large part, this award is determined by the survey results of our customers. High levels of performance in all departments is a prerequisite to winning this award.

Extensive Chrysler Academy Training
is one of the factory's 5 Star requirements. Our techs undergo over 100 hours of instruction in the order to know every system of your vehicle.

Two Service Locations: You can perform your maintenance at either of our convenient locations: Tenafly Chrysler Jeep and Wyckoff Chrysler.

Low Priced Maintenance
is not just a buzz word. We make sure our service pricing is super-competitive, and as low as the national discount chains.

Expresslube is our "while you wait" service for oil changes and minor services. It's the best deal going.

Our Local Shuttle Service is available to all our customers within our local area.

Our Better Care Program is an extremely popular plan, offering free loaner cars and no charge for oil changes. Please ask our staff for a brochure on this great program.

Our Automated Service Notification System is a specialized system of sending you a series of service reminders based on how many miles you are actually putting on your vehicle per year.

Our Email Service Appointment System is another way that many of our customers save time either making a service appointment or obtaining a service history outline.

Our After-Hours Service Phone Message System allows our customers to make an appointment, or leave a detailed message about their vehicle, or obtain after-hours assistance.

Paintless Ding Removal and Touchup and Body Shop Estimates
are services we offer our customers, eliminating the hassle of having to deal with their insurance company.

Goodyear Tire Dealer
: As a Goodyear Tire Dealer, we offer tremendous discounts on all Goodyear Tire products. We also sell Michelin, Bridgestone and other brands.
